The top of this piece is fashioned from a old car bumper.

The butterflies are made from  plow blades.  The convex shape of the blade gives the wing a gentle arc. 

This butterfly is displayed in an antique car rim, supported on pieces of an old bumper.

The arm is made from scrap steel and welding rod.  A railroad spike pierces the palm.  The chains appear to prevent the arm from drifting skyward.
